Notable Developments

  • Penalty for Chris Buescher: After finishing eighth at Kansas, Buescher was penalized 60 points due to an illegal front bumper assembly. This dropped him from 12th to 28th in the standings. Additionally, RFK Racing was fined $75,000, and crew chief Scott Graves received a two-race suspension.

  • Disqualifications at Talladega: Ryan Preece and Joey Logano were disqualified from their second and fifth-place finishes, respectively, due to rear spoiler violations. This promoted Austin Cindric to his first win of the season.
