The 24 Hours of Le Mans is back! The iconic 24-hour endurance race is one of the biggest spectacles of the year, and you will be able to watch all the action in the UK this weekend with TNT Sports and discovery+. With the race edging ever closer, we run you through who will be driving at this year's event with several star names from the world of motorsport taking part this time around.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is back!
The iconic 24-hour endurance race is always one of the biggest spectacles of the year, and returns for its 93rd edition.
 
Customers in the UK will be able to follow every moment live with TNT Sports and discovery+ this weekend, Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15.
Every year, the burning questions around the event include who will be racing and whether there are any newcomers to the event?
Are there any former Formula 1 drivers involved this year? Will Ferrari face new competition as they look to win Le Mans for a third consecutive year?

How many cars will start on the grid?

There will be a total of 62 cars on the grid for this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The field is made up of 21 Hypercars, 17 LMP2 prototypes, and 24 LMGT3s, while six teams are on the reserve list.

Which manufacturers are involved?

There are a total of eight manufacturers who make up the Hypercar category: Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Peugeot, Porsche, Toyota and Aston Martin.
Ferrari are seeking to come away victorious for the third year in a row.
Aston Martin are this year's newcomers, while Porsche are hoping to clinch a record 20th victory in the classic race.
Elsewhere, the LMGT3 class will bring together big names such as Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Porsche.

Which drivers will be racing?

There will be 19 former Formula 1 drivers on the starting grid for this year's race.
The likes of Kevin Magnussen (BMW M Team WRT), Jenson Button (Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA), Mick Schumacher (Alpine Endurance Team), Robert Kubica (AF Corse) and Nyck de Vries (Toyota Gazoo Racing) will all be driving in the Hypercar category for their respective teams.
MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi is back for his second taste of the iconic race in the LMGT3 category with Team WRT. The Italian made his Le Mans debut last year but, despite showing early signs of promise, team-mate Ahmad Al Harthy suffered a crash.
 
Meanwhile, British star and three-time W-Series Champion Jamie Chadwick is taking part for the first time at Le Mans in the LMGT2 category with IDEC Sport.
Chadwick is one of five women who will be racing at Le Mans with the Iron Dames fielding an all-female crew of Celia Martin, Rahel Frey and Sarah Bovy in the LMGT3 category.
Michelle Gatting was initially involved but has since been replaced by Bovy after injuring her foot during a pit stop. French driver Lilou Wadoux will also be at the wheel of the Richard Mille AF Corse in the LMGT3 category.
