Start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
The 93rd edition of the race was kicked off at 4 p.m. by Roger Federer, the immense champion and iconic figure of world sport. The moments leading up to the start were marked by an even more striking ceremony than usual, thanks to a new staging. A helicopter delivered the tricolor flag, the Marseillaise was played, sung in unison by the crowd, and then the cars took their places on the starting grid. Minute by minute, the tension mounted. Then, when Roger Federer freed the 62 protagonists, the adrenaline exploded: it was the beginning of a 24-hour, relentless battle.
Warm-up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans
But before the start, the teams have one final run to prepare: the warm-up. This is a 15-minute free practice session scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 12:15 p.m. It's a final chance to fine-tune the settings and adapt the car to the day's weather conditions.
Road to Le Mans
From 10:05 to 11:05, the Road To Le Mans competitors will take part in a second race. This support race is the third of six rounds in the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup season, a series reserved for LMP3 and GT class cars.
